Bamboo blank sections for 6'6", 2/2 midge rod - We are offering blanks from which you can craft a midge rod. A small stream and Beaver pond rod. These blanks were crafted from pre-embargo Tonkin cane.  The butt section is a Wright & McGill mid section and the tip sections are South Bend. Wright & McGill nickel silver ferrules #13 (2 males and 1 female). The tip top size is 5.5.  Using Cortland Sylk WF4, this rod will cast 40 feet with little effort. The action is medium fast. The cost of the bamboo blanks are $150, ferrule set is $52.50. Vintage thread, cork grips, guides, wind checks are available and priced according to choice.
