8' 2/2 Classic series Midge rod. Serial number 3733 crafted by Tom Dorsey on 2/23/1981. The rod weighs 4 1/2 oz. on our digital scale. Line weight 4, this impregnated rod with compound taper is medium dry fly action.  Translucent thread wraps with red tipping. Cigar cork grip. Down-sliding nickel silver cap and ring over walnut insert reel seat. Blued nickel silver ferrules with the T&T logo stamped on the female ferrule. Carbide stripping guide. Includes original cloth bag with hang tag and stiffener and brass capped aluminum tube. The over all condition is excellent plus. There are two items that the new owner may wish to have addressed. There is a factory personalized inscription on 2 flats and some bluing wear on the sliding ring and butt cap.  In a recent conversation with Troy Jacques, T&T's rod builder, he said that he can remove the inscription and re-blue cap and ring for $120.
