7', 3/2 Pioneer rods were crafted and sold at Bob's Tackle, Denver, Colorado starting in 1979. Paul Hightower was the craftsman who built their rods. Paul was the machine shop forman at the Phillipson Rod Company from 1946 to 1972. The blanks were crafted on Fred DeBell's bamboo fabrication equipment. The rod weighs 3.4 oz. on our digital scale. It will cast a 3 line weight. Cigar cork grip. Up-locking reel seat with walnut insert with aluminum hardware. Wright and McGill nickel silver ferrules sizes 10 and 15. The thread wraps are green with a white trim. Includes cloth bag and tube. The rod has never been fished. SOLD
