This rod has three different length tips: 9' 2 tips with agate tip tops, 8'6" with 1 tip and 8'8" with 1 tip. The mid-section appears to be 1 inch short. Early Divine rod made from Greenheart. Rattan wrapped fore-grip. Down-sliding nickel silver cap and ring reel seat with stamped patent date of Dec. 1st 1885. Cherrywood lower grip with nickel silver plated butt cap. Nickel silver ferrules. The rod appears to have been re-finished many years ago. The silks are now fraying. Above the grip there is approximately a 4 inch long brown repair wrap. The square stock wooden case is covered with dark green velvet with partial leather end coverings. According to Michael Sinclair's "Divine" book, the square stock case was most likely introduced in 1890. sold
