7', 2/1 Haywood Zephyr '52' Spinning rod especially recommended for use with Humphreys Reels. Humphrey's reels are sold separately on our 'Reels' page. This rod was crafted by Phillipson for Whitney Sporting Goods in Denver. The rod was named for Jim Haywood, the "Roving Fisherman" for The Denver Post. Hammer/elliptical cork grip, brown anodized no-rock reel seat with black hardware and 2 inch cork at butt end of reel seat. Mildrum carbide spinning guides wrapped with black thread with a black spiral. Medium action. The rod weighs 4 1/2 oz. The rod has Phillipson nickel silver ferrules. It is in very good condition. Included is original leatherette labeled cardboard tube. sold
