BF383 E. F. Payne  9', 3/2  Probably Model 206. Weighing 5 oz., line weight 6. Cigar grip measuring 5 inches. Down-sliding nickel silver cap and ring stamped "E. F. Payne Rod made for H. & D. Folsom Arms Co. NY." Swelled butt. Full intermediate wraps. Nickel silver ferrules with butt ferrule plug. Wrapped in red silk tipped in black. This is one of Jim's early models with lighter colored cane. We date this rod prior to 1925 when Jim stopped building lighter colored cane rods. The rod is in fair to good condition. All sections are the same length. Includes original brass capped bamboo tip holder and canvas bag.
