BF504 Phillipson DeBell 7', 2/2 Haywood Zephyr. Actual weight 4.2 oz. shaft is inscribed 4 3/4 oz. The Haywood Zephyr was a special rod crafted by Phillipson and was marketed through Whitney Sporting Goods. The rod was named for Jim Haywood, a writer for the Denver Post. The cork is ellipitical or hammer grip with. The reel seat is gold anodized no rock with a fighting butt. The guides are wrapped with black thread with spiral trim wraps. The butt section is genuine Phillipson as are the nickel silver ferrules. The tips appear to have been crafted by DeBell and are different line weights. One is probably 5/6 weight the other 6/7. The cane although amply varnished, has some blemishes and would benefit from polishing. Not a beauty contest winner, but an excellent fishing rod.
