BF577 Orvis  9',  3/2  Early serial number 951. Reel seat insert patented June 6, 1882, which dates this rod to approximately late 1880's. Cigar grip with sheet cork. The reel seat is oak insert with up-sliding ring. Nickel silver ferrules with plugs. Orange agate stripper and agate tip tops. Red silk wraps with full intermediates. Includes cloth bag (possible replacement) and original capped wooden tube.
