BF607 Max Cook 8'6", 3/1 Steuck Special. Weighing 5.2 oz. Line weight 6. Half Wells cork grip. Down-locking reel seat over pyralin. This rod was built by Heddon for Max Cook, an old Denver sporting goods store in the 1920's. We found a reference to Paul Steuck, who in Denver in the early 1900's, was a gunsmith and later owned a sporting goods store. Perhaps this Steuck model rod, sold at Max Cooks, was named after him. Blued ferrules sizes 2/0 and 2. Fair condition. There is a repair wrap on the tip. Another Colorado historically significant bamboo rod.
