R176 - Hardy Bros  St. John, 3 7/8" diameter with 1 inch spool width, very early, perhaps 1923/1924, Hardy's Pat. # 9261, 3 stud latch, smooth brass foot, ebonite knob, maker's number on the drum. RHW. Mechanically perfect, some finish wear, patinated finish. Original owners initial H.W. professionally engraved on the spool. Includes silk backing.
