Rick’s Rods Tackle Appraisal Policy:

Due to the overwhelming number of requests for online identification and evaluation of vintage fishing tackle, the following is effective immediately.

 If you need a general evaluation, online auction www.eBay.com  offers the most current sold prices which buyers will pay and sellers will accept for vintage tackle. You may also want to "Google" to check asking prices.  www.google.com

Many excellent reference books are available from www.amazon.com and www.collectorbooks.com.

The Wright Price Guide for the Reel Man, Ben Wright, Supplement and value guide, update to 3rd edition $32.00

Bamboo Rod Restoration Handbook, by Michael Sinclair 1996 2nd printing $75.00

Online evaluation will be provided for $30 for the first item and $25 for each additional payable by credit card only.  You must provide the following information:

a.  Digital images in jpg format.

b.  Full description of items including bags and tubes for rods, boxes and paperwork for reels and lures.  Any written identification, names, marks, model numbers, lengths, sizes and weights, etc.

Written evaluations will be provided only after we physically examine the items.  The price is $50 for the first item and $35 for each additional item. We will include a CD with images and description in addition to the written evaluation.  If these items are consigned with Rick’s Rods or if we purchase them, the fees will be waived.
