9', 3/2 The Leonard Rod (model 52) Early pre-fire rod. Nickel silver ferrules with early patent dates 1875 and 1878. Line weight 5/6. The rod weighs 5.4 oz. Straw colored cane with a slightly swelled butt. Burgundy silk wraps with full intermediates, several of which have been re-wrapped. The stripping guide and the tip tops have been replaced. One of the tips is 1/2 inch short. Five inch cigar cork grip. Nickel silver reel seat with down- sliding cap and ring. Includes original cloth bag and brass capped aluminum tube. Good condition. This rod was owned by and fished by the famous outdoor writer, Ted Trueblood. A letter of provenance from his son, Jack, will be provided to the purchaser. Price reduced. sold
