St. John fly reel, 3 7/8" diameter with 1 inch spool width, very early, perhaps 1923/1924, Hardy's # 9261, 3 stud latch, smooth brass foot, ebonite knob, maker's number on the drum. RHW. Mechanically very good, some finish wear, patinated finish. Original owner's initial H. W. professionally engraved on the spool. Includes silk backing.
